It's been a long time since I posted, I know. No reason really, I've just been lazy. There is still a lot going on at the hotel though. Since my last post, we have upgraded 3 of the rooms with new bed spreads and curtains. We have also hired a landscaper who has been doing a complete makeover of the property. Unfortunately, she has proven to be pretty unreliable and so the makeover is taking longer than expected.

We are also reopening the restaurant on a trial basis. We will decide later if we will make this more permanent. Our goal is to give the restaurant a complete makeover and have a grand reopening.

We are also upgrading the reception area but, again, an unreliable contractor is slowing this down. I have pics of the improved rooms but not with me right now. I will post those later. More to come...

March Specials

I organized two packages for March at rock bottom prices that you should not miss. The first:

Commencing on Thursday, March 15, 2007 and ending on Monday, March 19, this weekend is a true adventure. It includes:

JERK FESTIVAL SPECIAL
The second adventure runs from Friday, March 23, 2007 to Monday, March 26. It includes everybody's favorite, Jamaican Jerk chicken and many other delectable delights! The fun includes:

Airport pickup and drop off (Arrive Friday and leave Monday)
For those who want to hit the ground running on Friday, party at Margaritaville
Saturday trip to see the Jamaican national Pantomime ( a 40 plus year-old tradition, which is a musical comedy with plenty of dialogue in the local patois. You will burst out laughing guaranteed!)
Sunday at the Somerset Jerk Festival

TOTAL COST US$270
Payment entitles you to:

Have you ever wanted to visit a country but hesitated because you didn't know anyone there who could take you around and had no idea what to do or where to go? I know I have, and I figured there must be others like me out there who have felt the same way; people who would appreciate a ready made vacation. My goal with these packages is to offer just that and I hope to introduce a new one at least every other month.

The year 2007 so far

Well we are 2 months into the new year and Tamarind Tree is stepping it up big time. So far we have put up a new website, repainted the hotel and put a hot new color in the lobby. Experience it all here:

I am also loving the new curtains and comforters in the villas:

New landscaping and new lobby and front interior are next! We are consulting with an interior designer tomorrow. Definitely looking forward to that.

Oh, and we got the fabric for the new uniforms today. I can't upload a picture right now because blogger is acting up but, will definitely post pictures of the new uniforms once they are made. Lots more to come...
